The Creator Behind the Crafts

Born and raised in Croatia, Stane Skilj (Baba = grandma) immigrated to California in 1975 and has used the skills she learned as a seamstress in Croatia to create and alter many beautiful things here. She has successfully altered too many wedding dresses to count and designed and made all of her daughter's prom dresses and her wedding dress. She enjoys being creative and coming up with new designs and creating her own patterns. 

When the pandemic began, she took a disposable face mask and created her own pattern to start making masks for those in her family and community. She is now opening this website to be able to share her well-made masks with more people than just her neighbors, friends, and family. 

She doesn't only create face masks though! Check out her unique collections of dining table decor, aprons, and baby blankets. Look for more items being added regularly and for specialty items for upcoming holidays.
